The American Frontier
A leading agri-chemical formulator based in Davis, California, was developing a new generation of biological soil amendments. However, their primary active—a sensitive microbial consortium—was degrading within 48 hours of field application due to the intense UV exposure and fluctuating moisture levels of the Central Valley.
Molecular Shielding
Following a direct consultation with John Jiang at the UCSD R&D hub, the customer integrated Silfeed HC-Bio. By utilizing the HMS (Hierarchical Molecular Shielding) architecture, the biological actives were hosted within hydrophobic mesopores that repelled liquid water while allowing gas exchange—effectively creating a "survival chamber" for the microbes.
