A major Norwegian salmon feed producer faced a critical "Leaching" issue. Highly soluble vitamins and minerals were washing out of the feed pellets before the fish could consume them in the turbulent North Sea cages. This led to poor Feed Conversion Ratios (FCR) and increased environmental pollution.
Silfeed **HC-100** was integrated into the core of the vitamin premix. By leveraging its molecular-level hydrophobicity, the carrier acted as a "water-repellent lock." This kept the water out of the micro-pores while maintaining the nutrient payload until the moment of digestion in the salmon's gut.
Zero degradation in salt water for up to 4 hours post-immersion.
Tested by the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research.
Eliminated environmental leaching of excess nitrogen/phosphorus.
